About Me:
I began my professional journey with fitness a few years back when I decided to become a certified Group Exercise Instructor. I have been a certified Group Fitness Instructor through Athletics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) since 2019. Since that time, I have completed a few other certifications, including G.E.A.R. Cycling certification through AFAA, Barre through American Barre Technique, Nutrition Coach, and eventually in 2022 become a Certified Personal Trainer through National Association of Sports Medicine (NASM).
I was active growing up, as I danced throughout childhood and eventually started teaching at a local studio, where I have continued teaching for over 20 years. While I have a wide array of group classes that I teach, I’d have to say that by nature I’m a cardio-holic. Over the past few years, I’ve really learned to embrace strength training to help support my body to keep up with all the high intensity cardio workouts. I am also a believer in stretching and balance work to help keep our bodies balanced and functioning at their best. I’ve learned to combine all of these for quick, effective, full body workouts.
I’ve had one goal most of my life, I want to help. I received my Master of Social Work (MSW) through the University of Pittsburgh and hold my License of Social Work (LSW) in the state of Pennsylvania. Fitness has become more than just something I do to burn off stress, it helps me connect with others and have that satisfaction of helping others become better versions of themselves, whatever that may look like for them.
