At the YMCA, we believe in celebrating the cherished memories of those we have lost and honoring the remarkable individuals who have made a lasting impact on our lives. Our Bench Program offers a meaningful way to pay tribute to loved ones and community leaders, creating spaces for reflection, gratitude, and connection. Join us in creating a tapestry of memories, gratitude, and inspiration through our Bench Program at the YMCA, where every story is valued, every memory is cherished, and every legacy is celebrated.

  • The Butler County Family YMCA accepts bench requests on a case-by-case basis. The branch Executive Director decides if they have locations that are available and appropriate. Locations include ARMCO Park in Slippery Rock, PA, Butler YMCA in Butler, PA, and Rose E. Schneider Family YMCA in Cranberry Twp., PA.
  • Benches are only ordered two times each year- September and March. It may take four to six weeks from when a bench is ordered until it is actually installed.
  • Bench donation investment is $3,000. Annual donations of $300 are encouraged for yearly upkeep.

FULL PAYMENT IS REQUIRED BEFORE ANY BENCHES OR PLAQUES ARE ORDERED. Upon approval of your request, please mail a check to:

Program Details

The Butler County Family YMCA accepts bench donations on a case-by-case basis. The Executive Director decides if they have locations that are available and appropriate.  

BENCHES & PLAQUES 

All benches are USA-made, are 6’ in length, dark blue colored, and made from metal. Plaques are bronze metal and are approximately 10” long x 3 ½” high. Donors provide appropriate wording for plaques and then will be sent a proof for review and approval. The YMCA is not responsible for replacing any plaques that may be damaged or stolen. No flowers, shrubs or other decorations are permitted with the bench, without prior approval from the Executive Director.

COST  

The cost for the bench donation package is $3,000.00. This price includes:
- 6’ Bench
- Bronze Plaque
- Labor to assemble bench, mount plaque and install bench on cement pad location

Annual donations of $300 are encouraged for yearly upkeep. FULL PAYMENT IS REQUIRED BEFORE ANY BENCHES OR PLAQUES ARE ORDERED.
